サポーターからのご挨拶

"Nashvillians from across the city are eagerly anticipating the Third Annual Nashville Cherry Blossom Festival. This event is quickly becoming one of Middle Tennessee’s most popular and culturally significant celebrations. In addition to planting another 100 cherry trees as in prior years, we will offer another stimulating and educational program that will give Nashvillians an even deeper taste of Japanese culture. I am thrilled, once again, to serve as Honorary Co-chair of the Nashville Cherry Blossom Festival Committee and I look forward to continuing this important tradition of celebrating the strong ties between Japan and the United States."

-Karl Dean, Mayor of Nashville

“It is my great pleasure and honor to serve as Honorary Co-Chairman of the Nashville Cherry Blossom Festival Committee.  The Nashville Cherry Blossom Festival has become a successful annual event that celebrates the close bonds between our two countries.  Cherry blossoms are very significant in Japanese culture and have also been viewed as a symbol of the lasting friendship between Japan and the United States for many years. We hope the cherry trees continue to grow every year so that both the beauty of the cherry blossoms in full bloom and the Nashville Cherry Blossom Festival can continue to bring Japanese and Americans closer together.”

-Hiroshi Sato, Consul General of Japan at Nashville

"The strong ties between the United States and Japan have been part of the fabric of our local economy for several decades, with companies like Nissan and Bridgestone making significant investments in the Nashville region. This generous gift of cherry trees from our Japanese friends will add beauty to our city, while commemorating the enduring camaraderie between our two nations.”

-Ralph Schulz, President and CEO of the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce
