Videos from Nashville Cherry Blossom Festival sponsors, partners, performers, martial arts groups, lecturers, exhibitors, vendors, and more will populate special event page posts throughout the day. Festival Emcees Terry Vo and Madeline Adams will share enthusiastic Japan-centric introductions of featured videos, including:
· A Special Welcome and sakura flower paper-craft demonstration by Consul-General of Japan in Nashville Kayoko Fukushima;
· Music and Magic, featuring videos from Kaminari Taiko of Houston; Japanese Elvis tribute artist Daisuke Kiryu; and the Kent Family Magic Circus;
· Demonstrations and Crafts, including a Japanese writing lesson; a traditional Japanese tea ceremony; making an origami crane; playing the game of Go; and practicing the martial art of Aikido.
The annual Cherry Blossom Walk hosted by Sister Cities of Nashville and the Nashville Cherry Blossom Festival, originally scheduled for this date at Public Square, have been postponed in response to public health risks related to community spread of COVID-19.
