Assist Artist Avenue area vendors with set up
7:00 - 10:00 AM
Assist Arts & Culture area exhibitors with set up
7:00 - 10:00 AM
Assist Ginza Marketplace vendors with set up
7:00 - 10:00 AM
Assist J-Funland area exhibitors and vendors with set up
7:00 - 10:00 AM
Assist Taste of Japan area manager and vendors with set up and throughout the day
Check tables and chairs in cafes and be sure cafés are looking neat and are trash-free
Assist with line management
7:00 - 10:00 AM, 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM and 2:00 - 5:30 PM
Assist exhibitors, performer and vendors with unloading and loading
Unloading and loading areas - Metro Courthouse parking lot, Union Street and 3rd Avenue North
Monitor unloading to be sure cars without parking passes are moved to the garage after unloading
7:00 - 10:00 AM and 2:00 - 5:30 PM
Check in Martial Arts groups and performers
Answer questions
Provide directions to designated rooms in the Metro Courthouse
Monitor entrance to the Courthouse in coordination with Courthouse Security and General Services staff
9:00 AM - 1:00 PM and 1:00 - 5:00 PM
Cosplay Contest Wrangler
Assist Cosplayers with costumes
Help Cosplayers as needed moving from changing room on and off stage
Coordinate and manage Cosplayers photo session after the contest
Festival Headquarters
Check in volunteers
Assist Volunteer Coordinators throughout the day as needed
7:00 - 10:00 AM, 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM and 2:00 - 5:30 PM
Floater
Assist throughout the day as needed in all festival areas
7:00 - 10:00 AM, 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM and 2:00 - 5:30 PM
Greeter
Hand out festival programs at the 3rd Avenue, Founders Towers and Union Street entrances
Answer questions from festival-goers and provide directions
Main Stage
Work with Main Stage Manager, performers and other volunteers
Help performers move, set up and dismantle equipment
Assist performers as needed before and after they go on stage
Ensure the equipment for performers and martial arts groups is in place and that they are ready to go on stage at scheduled time
Help keep all performances on schedule
Manage crowd control around off-stage area
Sumo Wrestling Circle
Get suits ready for sumo wrestlers
Assist wrestlers putting on sumo suits
Disinfect suits after each match
Collect signed waivers from all wrestlers
Monitor and set times for each match
